STERCHI HILLS GREENWAY KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE |

The Sterchi Hills Greenway is a peaceful ride in a suburban setting. Expect some shade and some open trail, some flat and some interesting hills, two nice interconnected parks and parking spaces. A fine place to take the kids. Just watch out for the road crossings. |

| The trail begins at Sterchi Village Boulevard in the middle of a subdivision |

At the 0.04 mile mark the trail enters a cool shade lined trail for a short distance before opening into a big parking area for lots of cars. |

| 2 | Mile 0.50 | STERCHI HILLS PARK |
| I park the trusty Tracker in the Sterchi Hills Park, unload the bicycle, and set out to find the true beginning for the Sterchi Hills Greenway. |

| 3 | Mile 0.70 | RIFLE RANGE ROAD CROSSING |

The back roads in the area are not heavily traveled, but caution is in order when crossing them. |

| 4 | Mile 1.30 | PARKDALE ROAD CROSSING |
| Another road crossing at Parkdale Road. |

There is an interesting downhill grade before this crossing. Just remember... it's uphill going back... |

| 6 | Mile 3.00 | THE SOCCER LOOP |
| After circling the Soccer Loop, the Greenway ends at three miles. |

Periodically the Greenway serves as a 5K run site. Encouragement, in the form of sidewalk graffiti, is strategically placed along the trail to bring the runners home. |
