| By the way so far Texas
people seem to be the nicest people I've met yet. I wondered how
they would be here. They go out of the way to talk to you. We were
stopped on the side of the road looking at a map and this truck
passed us. The driver put it in reverse, came back and said, "It
looks like you need some help". I couldn't believe it. I thought
people in Tennessee were friendly but Texas has them beat by a long
shot. We end up in a town called Buffalo Gap… population 499.
It is so named, because buffaloes came through the gap to get water
on their travels through the desert. |

It amazes me that the
stores look like what you see in the western movies, except they are
real and not just store fronts. Guys really wear cowboy hats
because that's what they wear here. It's not play. |
